History of Pase Working Area.

Located in East Aceh, North Aceh, and Bireuen which was previously operated by Mobil Pase Inc. The Pase Block PSC was first signed effectively on 12 February 1981 for a period of 30 years.

In 2009, Triangle Energy (Global) Ltd took over the block through it’s subsidiary Triangle Energy Limited (“TEL”) and changed the operatorship from Mobil Pase Inc to Triangle Pase Inc. (“TPI”).

In 2014, TPI closed production wells because production continued to decline and coincided with the end of LNG Sales Agreement between Exxon Mobil and the TOHOKU Electric Power CO., Inc. and The TOKYO Electric Power Co. Inc.

In May 2015, TPI received a PSC extension for the Pase block for 20 years, effective from 24 February 2012 to 23 February 2032.

In early 2016, Triangle Energy (Global) Ltd divested 100% of it’s ownership of Triangle Energy Limited (“TEL”) to Enso Asia Inc.

In March 2018, TPI reactivated wells to sell gas to Medan area through PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (“PGN”) as Buyer.

B-P1 Drilling Campaign

In May 2019, TPI commenced to drill an infill development sidetrack named Pase B-P1 from a previously plugged and abandoned well named Pase B-P2. Operations commenced with opening window from 9-5/8” casing and drilled to 8140ft with limitation on Annulus 13-3/8”x 9-5/8”, inconclusive FIT, and challenging 3D well trajectory.
