B-P1 Drilling Campaign

In May 2019, TPI commenced to drill an infill development sidetrack named Pase B-P1 from a previously plugged and abandoned well named Pase B-P2. Operations commenced with opening window from 9-5/8” casing and drilled to 8140ft with limitation on Annulus 13-3/8”x 9-5/8”, inconclusive FIT, and challenging 3D well trajectory.

The Pore Pressure and Fracture Gradient of the well is quite challenging with thick over pressured shale section (up to 17.0 ppg EMW) with depleted pressure in the reservoir (7.5 ppg EMW). Unfortunately the well was unable to reach to the reservoir target and had to be temporarily suspended due to wellbore instability, MW limitation, and uncertainty in FIT once reservoir formation is reached. The well is currently temporarily suspended with one 500ft cement plug deep and one 300ft cement plug shallower complete with tubing head adapter and one 7-1/16” Master Valve with cap.

Future plan is to drill Pase B-P1 as a new drill in a new pad with a simple J type profile trajectory and risk assessment on the pore frac with geomechanical stress to optimize mud weight and casing seat placement.
